NOUN the pursuit of pleasure; sensual self-indulgence. synonyms: self-indulgence · indulgence · pursuit of pleasure · [more] philosophy the ethical theory that pleasure (in the sense of the satisfaction of desires) is the highest good and proper aim of human life.
weve seen hints of this in the past.

the robotic encapsulated suit engulfed the man like a squid.a beer tube at his mouth was his pacifier. a visor displayed every dream he could think of. even his bowel and urinary problems were thought of.he laid in the tomb, his muscles and joints so deteriorated from lack of exercise,no way could his body ever recover. pleasure was all that mattered.his friends were the same, lined up beside him as they were just blobs of meat being watched over by the ai.not even disease could effect them in their cocoons.their hearts grew weaker daily.chewing had even been forgotten as a stomach tube had been inserted.sex was a nerve implant,no need to get aroused just say the word and dopamine engulfed the brain with ecstasy.

If all that is what One wants, then that One is free to choose that. Not My cup o' tea. I would want to help out on archaeological digs, travel and see Our planet, offer advice should Others ask for it, teach what I might. I think few People, freed to fulfill Our potential, follow Our bliss, have leisure and industry of interest, would choose that. How many of the useless ELiters are getting into robotic encapsulated suits?

robo, trust fund babies do not presently grow up with the Betterment Ethic impressed upon Them. The Betterment Ethic is not much impressed on anyOne these days. The work "ethic" (slave's creed) is what Most of Us learn. By replacing that creed with a true Ethic, We will see something vastly different from what trust babies today offer.
In fact, trust babies are raised with the notion that They are somehow "better than" Others by virtue of Their wealth. In what I offer, it is in the wealth of social currency - earned through Betterment, and accounted for in Our hearts and minds - that We will see the richness of character, and it is something everyOne can earn a bit of by merely smiling or offering a kind word.
A great number make that mistake, thinking that the behavior under a money system will continue and that We can see in the wealthy a reflection of what all of Humanity will be. In truth, it will be very different.
