i think i may have broke three records on car i own.
the maddest i ever been at an investment,
the car has cost me more in new parts than i payed for it at an overpriced used car lot,
and ive worked on it more than ive drove it.
i originally had it planned to have a car i could always get parts for and also performed well at stopping and cornering. the v6 was a bonus because it used less fuel.
this car added in with police harassment, even at inspection stations, has made it a pain to own.i dont speed in it on purpose but every car runs differently when fixed and not fixed.i 99% of time dont even go over speed limit.yet somehow this car stays broke down and stalked.im running out of new shit to buy for it!
thing is it benefits society more if it ran.ill never understand the logic of some people.

the reason for this car thread is a notepad of my many bitches about it.
today i finally got engine completely rebuilt front and top.exaust complete.car had been torn apart or broke down for 3 months. i go out to crank it this morning and it catches fire under the plenum.the intake manifold area, back side. i eventually get fire put out.
because my wire insulation was rotten in some areas,i had them reinsulated with silicone rtv, high heat out of a caulk tube.globbed on. lol,it fire proofed the wires! the vaccuum lines burnt,3....,2 small,1 big.
i havent done any more test yet to find fuel leak.im getting over the panic for now and think it out, ugg! i thought my fuel pump was bad and bought one online last night,i didnt expect to have my engine covered in gas this morning and not even smell it.

dr.frankenrobo declares.......ITS ALIVE!
fuel injectors did not all drop into ports, when i cranked it over the other day,it had fogged gas onto the lower intake surface and a backfire as computer set timing ignited it.i lucked out. i then had to self teach myself how to get a drivers side far back injector in the hole.come to find out my car is a homo,i had to do a reach around! the back injector can be felt and pushed into its slot with no tension on the bolts.then i screwed the center bolt on top plenum, drivers side, down.then the passengers side can be seen and using a long aluminum tv antenna i was able to push the passenger side injectors into their slots. success!
it had dumped about a gallon of gas into my new oil,via having key left on without knowing it.fuel injector was stuck open and poured it out.so im fixing that next. it idles like a new engine,so i know my wires and gears are right.
my black car is racist,it hates white people, especially smart white people! homo racist, who would have guessed?

i go out for a ride on my bike and take a break from fuel injector fun times....i get down the road and see a perfectly round brown golf ball size turd being rolled by a dung beetle, his back feet are pushing the turd, his front feet are pushing the road. another dung beetle is on the axle side and spinning around and round like a merrygoround. i watched the dung beetle push that turd backwards all the way across the county road.
my first bicycle adventure story!

found busted fuel injector last night by pulling plenum for the 6th time ,then pulling fuel rail out to side of car.had wife turn key to first contact and pump came on,gas gushed out of number 5 injector. turned key off and went inside, ordered two new injectors.came out this morning to a primed fuel line dumping gas on the ground.the injectors were below tank level.gas runs down hill.
science!
now to figure out how to get the busted injector out of rail.some weird ass clip holds it in.
before i found the leak, car had a small chance to run,it ran great, theres no water or gas in the newest 40bux worth of oil in car.so odds are i get these injector issues solved, ill have a reliable car finally. plus a gasoline flushed engine.so nice and clean on the inside!

rockauto,...in the past year, ive had problems with rockauto but in the last two months,my orders have been right and usually delivered early. mostly it was on the credit card purchase issues on website.i dont know if it was crackheads on servers or the company finally woke the fuck up and took business seriously.so anyways, rockauto is currently reliable supplier for parts if anybody needs to buy any and very fast service.my injectors i ordered last night have already shipped in less than 12 hours.
ebay,..ive never bought anything on ebay because website was a mess.nothing worked via mobile.last week i found a bike part via ebay, first seller cancelled, second seller shipped.so ebays website seems to have improved a bunch.it seems to be mobile friendly now.

and....electrical grease to all connectors, rear license plate light, rear higher tail light.
pulled clip on injector, its weird, you have to slide the prong over then out, disconnect electrical first, pry the wire to clip gently until it snaps out.as the plastics old,the opening function usually used doesnt work as well.getting the metal clip out gently guarantees its free to be seperated.all pieces snap easily back in place after completion.
injector was out of round and oring was cut in two places.yep thats a leaker.so now we all learn, trust but verify when it comes to seating fuel injectors before torquing down plenum! the black jesus car will rise again!

this is the car that the roving magistrate judge for the northeast district of texas tore up the fuel pump on, to inspect the car.of course no drugs were found yet two years later i find two ancient roaches buried deep underneath the carpet where its impossible for a roach to be.proving i was being set up.i have never smoked weed in my camaro.that district judge was corrupt and damaged my car.it took a month of struggle to find out and fix.all because i had an opinion about the trash running titus county.the same kind of trash that stopped up my fuel pump!

if it runs reliable,it must be somebody elses vehicle!
got plenum and injectors done, oil filter replaced, oil replaced a few days ago, buttoned up everything and cranked car over,IAC stuck open so car idles at 3000 rpm. grr! radiator hose that never leaked before, now leaking. long day for me today, sore from head to toes. the worse thing a person can do to a car is let it set for months.
ordered struts for trunk lid,new radiator fan relay for backup relay, new trunk latch relay, new door hinge pins and bushings.insurance and tags soon.

iac was new,i thought i remembered replacing it. anyways,it was a wire broke at connector.getting ready now to solder it up and reSILICONE it. idled car at 800 rpm for about 10 minutes, never overheated.only died when i gave it gas.pulling the iac and cleaning it stopped the high idle but then i found the low idle wire broke.this is why it kept dying after i gave it the gas and then left off the pedal.the computer is suppose to let in some air to get the idle back up just for a second, for when you let off gas and put brakes on,this way car doesnt die from power brakes vaccuum collapse.power brakes are powered by vaccuum from engine.anyways,im an electrician today!
post edit: my mistake,tired,ugg..... not the iac wire that was broke off,it was throttle position sensor wire that was broke.so i had both components on front of engine give me problems.the iac had car stuck at 3000 rpms, tps had it dying once gassing the pedal then letting off the pedal.

new tps connector from rockauto in today.door bushings, relays. wiring in new tps connector tonight.relays replaced.air con and radiator fan.trunk relay soon. i had been waiting for the prices of obd1 stuff to go down in price.because my car is cursed, that year they put a unicorn computer connector on the thing.an obd 2 cable connector but an obd 1 computer.so i had to buy a cable adaptor and the testing unit was only 40bux.cable was 10. amazon. now i can run real diagnostics on the car.or close anyways.maybe even blutooth android later, theres components out now for diagnostics via phone.thats sweet.
due to friday is gov holiday, black jesus cant get his mark of the beast until monday.

connector to tps replaced, new wires rtv siliconed. engine seems to idle way better.
another reason i like rtv siliconing wires is that it cuts down on copper embrittlement.the more copper wires move, the more brittle it becomes.by siliconing wires,i get rid of all vibrations in wiring harness, this leads to more reliable copper connections and connector pins lugging.
then theres another type of silicone i also use.
i also use silicone grease on all wire butt splices to impede corrosion.the two combined create an almost lifetime electrical wiring connection.
im currently trying out using rtv silicone as spark plug wire guides.silicone is very high dielectric and spark plug wires are sometimes made of it.using it to hold wires in place on a painted surface seems to hold and work well. in the future,i could see this being an industrial practice versus using clips or guides.for ease, efficiency, safety.

post office ran today, weird.got struts from rockauto for trunk lid. for newbs, prop up lid,the arms just pull off but it helps if you got a small screwdriver to pull the metal clip off. a torx for the bolts near hinge.
wife came outside this evening and i showed her the trunk lid fix and she smiled, then she wanted car cranked over. i fired it up and let it idle for 5 minutes.then the fan came on.i was like, wow, its running like its suppose to.before the fan stayed on all the time while running.bad relay i had just replaced.hmm? then it shut off too.yippy! then ac compressor started shutting off.compressor had always ran before.lol,im like cool,or not cool,...i think im low on freon.anyways, new hoses for radiator ordered at oreillys, hopefully replaced monday.everything else about engine idle seems good, sounds like a new engine after it warms up.
wife and i are discussing buying a palm sander and sanding and repainting black jesus with a flat dark black then a gloss over that to give it a wet flat black look.if it works out,we may do that soon.i was surprised for her to ask more about it when i brought it up then went further and said, lets get a sander.i was like.....ok:)

fan quit working, ugg.ok bought new motor just in case, also bought whole new remote wiring so i dont have to rely on old car wires. bought new connectors for map sensor, transmission, iac.im not taking chances,im getting this car very reliable.
one bit of good news, trunk latch fixed so it can be opened from button in glove box,no more needing key.
tried to add freon, wouldnt take it.that tells me its over pressure from fan not cooling coil.ive had car like eight years and never added freon.one of the best engineered ac systems ive ever come across.not alot of air but what comes out is cold and no leaks in a 25 yr old car.thats a miracle.

oh and i had gotten a box of fuses. i suspect a crackhead previously owned the car.all the fuses were wrong just about and ive never got around to fixing the matter as most of the business end of the car worked.thats why the trunk latch actuator started working. well now i have the key dinger bell.that annoying bing bing bing.sure i could pull the bell but right now i just smile, thats one more item that works!

tonight i had taco salad,i was bloated, ugg,im currently also babysitting peach trees with possums and a mother skunk and four kits eye fuckin me.
im like well what can i do to figure this fan thing out.why want it come on,not wanting to dig the meter out and start tracing wires, then i come across the comment on a board that says, pull the temp sensor connector on top and fans should come on as safety measure.also it talks of fans not coming on until 225°f.im like wtf? thats 15°f from boiling.the moment you start making steam in a system, thats not good. anyways im like ok crank the car over,i go to the car door and theres my car parts from fedex in the car seat!
oh hell yeah! so i got the fan motor in,a cam sensor connector and a map sensor connector. i plugged the new motor in and turned on car.unplugged the temp sensor. i had power! i am god! yes so replaced it and got all back together.fan motor was bad.yep! then im like, why want the compressor come on? i plug the freon can back on but first i look down in hole and see schrader valve.then i thought, what if schrader is too low? i put connector to freon can on and then push down.can got cold and line got cold, compressor kicks on. oh yeah baby.come fo find out its a safety feature.i got whole can in a previously pressurized system.that means no air in freon lines.im livin livida loca! i got ice cold air and a fan blowin like a hurricane, car idled for half an hour without ever getting hot and cooled the whole car off.
black jesus be cadillackin.

while i was at tire shop,i thought, these guys probably do a/c and have the vaccum pump and dye.so yep they did, said fix takes about an hour.im like doit! me and wife got hour to burn so we go for walk to grocery wholesaler shop,on the way there on the side of highway,in front of the rural economic office was a gopher,i had never seen a gopher digging or a live gopher.his little rat tale was sticking out and i got the idea, lets see what this little digger looks like.now as i know a rat can make a hand turn into handburger,i was cautious.....i knew if i grabbed that tail, i better be fast and pitch him once out.at robo lightning speed,i grabbed that tail and pulled then tossed, out came an almost foot long gopher into the driveway off the highway.that thing sat there on that concrete with the most bewildering look.
for you critter lovers.on my way back,mr hairy had already gone back to his tunnel, the sunlight scared him i suspect.
a/c is now fixed, both high and low pressure ports were leaking bad.new 15 dollar parts sealed good.so for future reference,if you got a leak, save the service fee and buy the parts kit first. as there will be residual freon in the line, theres a slight chance if you change the parts fast, you want need a vaccuum pulled on system and can get it filled with freon without going to shop. i could have saved a hundred bucks.my system was 25 years old and those seals do get old.i tested it out today and i still have cold a/c.
