Ive been pricing planes all over the www,and i laugh.maybe theres more millionaires than i know of but i doubt it.plus alot of folks with money dont care to fly. Alot of boomers have planes that just sit.200kish in price and less.nobody has that kind of money.90% of the planes have no price and have call for price.these are folks who fear getting into a freefall bidding war.thing is,the longer these planes dont fly,the less they are worth as seals get old and dry when engines arent run.sure engines need rebuilding but a regularly run engine is more reliable than a parked engine. There are banks and dealers holding planes, piles of low time planes all over usa. Then add in phased array is or was killing hearts at a fast pace.now theres a glut of planes and few pilots.low demand but a flooded market.i see a day in 4-5 years when planes are selling at 1/4 or less of the price.a major hit to a high end market.say theres 4000 planes currently for sale at an average price of 200k,thats 800,000,000$value,after loss, thats $600 million dollar loss across the nation, maybe more.coming in the next ten years. Add in that fuel prices will skyrocket if nobody comes up with an alternative fuel supply. A whole industry spillover of losses in the billions probably.
