I wanted a thread for simple, cheap food recipes. Im not a fan of long, drawn out and complicated foods. My first one is this. Brown half a small loaf of hot ground sausage.chop it up into dime size bits with spatula. Dump in a can of blackeye peas. Cover with a can of french fried onions. Its kinda high in sodium but ill bet you eat the whole thing. I had done it last week without the sausage.my wife suggested using the half loaf we had left over from sausage biscuits yesterday so i pitched it in.that knocked it out of the park.that little bit of pork grease and chili really topped it off. Current prices are 4$ for loaf of sausage.thus two dollars for half. About a dollar for the peas and a dollar for the onion bits in a can.four dollars equals two servings.

Interesting recipe. I don't eat canned goods, nothing fried unless I fry it in coconut oil, and don't eat sausage... But for Those who eat those things, I am sure it is delightful!
