A long while ago now, I encountered a thread on AboveTopSecret.com which introduced Me to The Terra Papers by Robert Morning Sky. In it, it was explained that they represented a paper written for a college class on the origins of religion. The time frame the paper was submitted was around the time that We were first grasping Sumerian text, learning how to read it, and little had been translated.
According to this thread, Robert's grandfather and five other Hopi tribesmen had been out hunting in 1947 when a saucer fell from the sky. This was NOT the Roswell crash, but one in the same general area of the southwest. The tribesmen went to investigate and found an injured ET aboard. They pulled the ET, whose name was Bek'ti, from the wreckage and brought It back to the village, ensconcing It in one of the abodes.
Shortly after, the military showed up asking questions. They all reported that They had seen something fiery fall from the sky "over there," pointing in the direction of the crash, but knew nothing else about it. The military went away.
Over time, They nursed Bek'ti back to health. Though Bek'ti was unfond of Humans, It was grateful that They did not hand It over to the military, and for having been brought back to health, and so decided to repay Them by presenting the history of the planet. It whipped out a device that created a holographic display to aid in the delivery of the information.
The interesting thing is that a great deal of the data matched closely to what was found in the Sumerian tablets which were subsequently translated. Though the Papers read like a bad science fiction novel in the beginning, once I got to the end, the world made vastly more sense to Me. I read and reread them, even going so far as to create a glossary of the characters, as it was a bit hard to follow - many of the characters were referred to by titles, which changed often, depending on what the characters were doing and Their rank at any given time.
